Tara Retreat Centre

The Tara Zhingkham, located at Gelephu Mindfulness City (GMC), will be a sacred space for spiritual practices centred on Tara – the female Bodhisattva.

Our Purpose

A conducive space for spiritual growth, and for deeper reflection, renewal and revitalisation, while also helping to fulfil the vision of the Gelephu Mindfulness City as a global Vajrayana hub.

Project Activities

Tara Retreat Village

This section is a sacred space for short silent retreats, or longer Nyungney and 21-Day Tara Retreats, and for solitary retreats among serious practitioners. The centre should be tucked away from noise and public movements. Learn more...

The Tara Potala will be a large sacred space that is open to the public to make pilgrimages, and for locals to circumambulate, meet, socialise, take evening walks with family and children. Learn more...
